Bodalla Cheese Factory in Bodalla – which supplies cheese and milk products to Canberra – has won the Gold Tourist Attraction Award at the NSW South Coast Tourism Awards.
It was a golden moment for the successful, family-owned dairy business, located at 52 Princes Highway in Bodalla, after winning the prestigious prize at the Awards ceremony in Batemans Bay on Wednesday, August 27.
The NSW South Coast Tourism Awards recognise outstanding tourism businesses offering the highest possible products and service to visitors across the entire South Coast region from Wollongong to Eden.
Bodalla Cheese Factory owner Sandra McCuaig said it was a wonderful surprise to win the Gold Tourist Attraction Award for the NSW South Coast.
“We are delighted to be applauded for our hard work and innovation at the Bodalla Cheese Factory, which has been producing premium dairy products for almost four years,” Ms McCuaig said.
“We are so proud to be recognised as a leading tourist attraction and luring visitors to the South Coast and surrounding areas – which has economic benefits for the entire region.”
Established in 2011, Bodalla Dairy and Cheese Factory is a family-owned and run business with a purpose-built factory that produces premium dairy products including milk and cheese. “Our dairy products are 100 per cent natural and proudly produced on the NSW South,” Ms McCuaig said.
Ms McCuaig said multi-award winning Bodalla cheese and milk products are among the healthiest dairy products in Australia and are available in supermarkets across the South Coast region, Braidwood, Bungendore and Canberra.
“Our premium cheeses are made with Bodalla milk that is pasteurised but not homogenised – which maintains taste and health benefits. Bodalla’s fresh milk is “Living milk” that is nature’s true health-care product. The nutritious, bone-building food also contains the a2 protein,” Ms McCuaig said.
“It’s very encouraging to see the strong growth of our premium dairy products right across the South Coast, Canberra and surrounding markets.”
