It all started when a customer asked? Are there any “nasties” in your products?
I knew immediately what she meant by “nasties” … preservatives, emulsifiers, artificial flavourings, mysterious chemicals with numerical identifications … etc.
With this philosophy guiding us, we have spent the last four months mixing, cooking, tasting, and sipping the delicious results of milks to which we have added nature’s purest produce.
This range of milks are now they are available in the Harris Farm Markets stores and, of course, in our Bodalla Dairy Shed. For years we have been making flavoured milks using the commonly available syrups. This new range is more costly to make because we use only pure, top quality, natural products. We make the pure-product sauces in-house.
So far, sales suggest that health-conscious customers are looking for this extra quality guarantee and they SAVOUR THE EXTRA FLAVOUR.
Our CHOCOLATE milk has heaps of dense Belgian Callebaut, carefully melted to a manageable temperature.
The BUTTERSCOTCH sauce is made to an old-fashioned recipe that brings back memories of good times when nothing synthetic was added to our food.
Making our COFFEE takes the longest time but patience is rewarded. We simmer freshly ground coffee until the aromatic black liquid concentrates to become the “hit” that true coffee lovers look for.
